    Today is National Mascot Day. Axolotls have unoffi Today is National Mascot Day. Axolotls have unofficially become my mascot. I take one (or more) with me when I travel, and post pictures of them in various spots. 

I don't mind being associated with Axolotls. In fact, later this year (If all works according to plan) I'll be releasing God, the Axolotl, and Me, a middle grade, hands-on, science-based devotional. 

Mascots do everything from helping us celebrate our favorite teams to recognizing our favorite products. So, this Trivia Tuesday, I've got a mascot question for you. I'll post the answer in the comments later tonight. So, drop your guess in the comments below.

    As writers, our search histories could land us in As writers, our search histories could land us in a world of trouble. I've had to research the differences between dynamite and TnT and what it smells like after TnT explodes. And I'm a romance writer! I can't even imagine what suspense and mystery writers deal with. 

So, what is the weirdest thing you've researched for a book? Or maybe the thing that could get you in the most trouble if people didn't know you are a writer?

    Today is German Chocolate Cake Day. I know coconut Today is German Chocolate Cake Day. I know coconut can be a tricky ingredient for many, but so can cherries. So, Would You Rather have German chocolate cake or Black Forest Cake?
I am not a fan of cherries, so it's German chocolate for me.
