I'm not a resolutions person. I'm a goals person. I'm not a resolutions person. I'm a goals person. And this week, many of us will evaluate the last year and plan for the one ahead.

As a person, I'm kind of fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants. As an author, if I'm going to get anything accomplished (especially with my work schedule), I need goals. Really, I need goals inside of goals. And rewards. Reaching the goal doesn't do it for me. Bring on the reward for each step along the way.

But I want to be intentional with each goal I set. I want each one to be prayed over and be SMART. Whether it's in your hobbies (like reading great Christian fiction books) or in your job (even when that's writing great Christian fiction books) or any other area of your life, framing your goals in this way can help you succeed (and if you're like me, get that reward).

With a new year quickly approaching, I wanted to t With a new year quickly approaching, I wanted to take a minute to let you know who I am and why I do what I do. Christian fiction has influenced my faith from elementary school (anyone else read the Animal Friends series by Janette Oke in grade school or the Cedar River Daydreams series by Judy Baer in junior high? How about the Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn?). As I grew up, those stories paved the way for Lori Wick, Linda Chaikin, and Kristen Heitzmann. Each one has a special place in my reading heart. With their stories inspiring me in my relationship with God, it's fitting that faith-filled fiction is the direction my own stories take. #christianfictionauthor #christianfictionreaders #ChristianFiction #faithfilledfiction

I thought it would be fun to make a totally safe one using traditional Christmas romance elements. I'd love to hear your story and the title you come up with!
