You Write You
You Write You is now available!
I cannot believe I forgot to post this update on release day, which was Tuesday, April 22, 2025. You Write You has been a work of the heart for me in ways different from my other books. Instead of writing to readers, this book is meant to encourage Christian authors. So many Christian authors have encouraged and taught me in my journey as an author, and it is a blessing to be able to, even in some small way, do the same for others.
About You Write You
When rules and tools designed to improve our writing and productivity don’t work for us, we wonder–is adequate all we can achieve? Did God provide what we need for success? Is writing the wrong path for us?
God designed us uniquely, from passions to personalities. We’re not cookie-cutter people. Why do we aspire to be cookie-cutter writers? And does clinging to individuality mean rules don’t apply?
With scripture as our base, You Write You provides insight into our God-given design. It encourages exploration of the heart of writing aids and teaches us how to combine both elements. Together, we will discover how honoring the heart brings freedom to write as God created us to write.
What Others Are Saying
You Write You gives authors permission to write according to the way God made them but also encourages accountability… More than just another book on the craft of writing, Greer encourages authors in their faith walk as well. – Goodreads Review
If you’re beginning your journey as a writer, or you’re stuck somewhere along the way because of the “rules” for producing a publishable novel appear insurmountable, or even if you’re a published author, this how-to book from author Heather Greer may be for you. Heather encourages you to know who you are and to find what works best for you as a writer. – Goodreads Review
So many people say “I want to write a book, but I don’t know where to start.” Here is the answer. This book helps you wade through all of the advice, the techniques, the “rules” that bombard from every side… I will refer to this each time I start a new project. – Goodreads Review
