    Not all romance authors are cut from the same clot Not all romance authors are cut from the same cloth. Just like readers, we have favorites and not-so-favorites. Here's one of my not-so's that I've caught comments for from other romance lovers. I'm not putting down those who love this book. I know they have their reasons, and they're valid. The book is a classic for a reason. It's just not a book that's for me. What about you? Without being negative, dismissive, or rude, is there a book or trope or character type that everyone else seems to love but that you can't quite connect with?     I'm a mood reader. I don't care if there are tons I'm a mood reader. I don't care if there are tons of books in my TBR pile. If none of them grab my attention when I choose my next book, I need to find one that does. Sometimes this means a Christmas book in July or a "beach read" during the winter. Other people read according to the season. Though I'm not sure how that would work in places that have less drastic season changes. What about you?
